If you are wondering about how to start sketching on location but are not sure where to start then you've come to the right place.
These courses have been written with you in mind.
The Joy of Sketching on Location will give you a great foundation to build upon. I share my story and process and introduce you to sketchbooks, materials and more practical things like clothing and footwear. You'll come out with me on 3 sketch walks around the Cornish coastline and have an over the shoulder look at how I build each page up.
There are plenty of practice videos to watch that include timed exercises that help get you warmed up and ready for your own sketch walk adventures.
In Where the Wildflowers Grow I introduce you to the Wildflowers of the Lizard. You'll come out with me on 3 sketch walks paying particular attention to these delicate specimens in 3 different habitats.
Back in the studio we'll dive into the colour and mixing with a limited palette. I share with you how I work with a mix of media. Our final project will include a more finished illustration piece completely inspired by the flowers we've seen along the way.

You will have full access to watch anytime for the lifetime of the course. The course will be available for as long as Melanie Chadwick is operational.

What materials or tools do I need?
All materials and tools will be introduced during the courses. However it is not necessary to buy new in order to complete the course, far better to use what you have and then supplement when ready.
